FOR MARVIN GREY EAGLE
Every time an eagle takes to the sky
Nothing on earth escapes his keen eye
Scanning the surface, if he seeks it, it's found
And so sees the ferret when he goes to ground
Imagine a moment that these two were one
At home in a burrow or under the sun
The fiercest of protectors, the gentlest with it's young
Never tasting anything but freedom on his tongue
The ferret is the eagle's shadow, which follows him below
Carrying home fires with him wherever they may go
Imagine again the eagle... moving always to the west
Ensuring that darkness never falls on his beloved nest
