PLEASE! DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME!
Her fervent plea to her friends dear...
There are times we feel her near,
her sweet spirit, closer than a sigh,
blowing toward our own by and by,
as one would blow a loving kiss,
knowing how very much we would miss
having her in our lives each day,
after her spirit is called away.
"Please! Don't worry about me!"
She begs of those who cannot see
when her time to leave draws nigh,
she'll kiss her babies with a sigh,
as mothers do who must depart
yet know time will soothe the heart
till they greet one another again,
their joy, at last, erasing the pain.
"Please! Don't worry about me!"
Such loving concern in that plea,
remaining with me and surely you,
touched by her gentile essence true,
enough to feel that occasional kiss
blowing through us, who dearly miss
the soul of our Becky in this domain,
enough we'll never be the same again!

My love to all of you....
After reading the recent posts in reference to Becky, and especially after reading Becky's heartwrenching poem entitled, "soon", (Posted to the group on Aug 14, 2003) along with several responses to her post which contained her poem, I became inspired to write one of my own.
Nancy,
I simply cannot express how I feel reading your sweet loving words to her and about her. It's been almost 2 years now since the twins were born and she left us. Two years that seem to have lasted a dozen lifetimes and yet seem only like just yesterday because the pain is still so fresh and the tears so wet and her memory so strong.
We sometimes become bitter because we feel that she has been forgotten by those she loved and yet we know we are not being fair because words such as yours, Faye's, Colin's as others remind us that she lives in the hearts of so many others.
She leaving left a huge hole in a lot of lives besides ours and in our grief, we sometimes forget how many lives she touched. Her leaving hurt almost all of those who were graced by her touch or presence and the void left in the lives of some people will never be filled.
I do not think that her husband will ever re-marry again, he is simply to in love with Rebecca to be able to love anyone else. His life is the daughters that they had. They are growing so fast and besides JJ he is the only one who can tell them apart. Rebecca's brothers have many, many stores to tell of her as she grew up and all of the children want to hear about her. I think it is hardest on JJ, he grew up with her mother and father and he watched her grow up after his own wife and daughter were killed. He has shown me pictures and Echo and Angi are the absolute image of Rebecca as she was her own mother Sara. He became kind of a father to her after GreyEagle died.
I have said far more than I intended to or that I am sure anyone wants to hear so I'll close and tell you once again Thank You for the Love you have given to her. Our gratitude is all we have to offer.
With our Love and Best wishes to a Wonderful Friend.
